The Cold, Hard Logic of Lifting Condominium Pet Limits


Condominiums with unrestrictive pet policies sell for 11.6% more than those barring pets, on average, according to a study of a retirement community in South Florida by Zhenguo Lin of California State University, Fullerton, and two colleagues. Advocates of lifting pet restrictions usually argue for the medical and psychological benefits of pet-owning, but the findings demonstrate that liberal pet policies would benefit condo developers and owners too, the researchers say.
