July 20, 2015 How Uber Benefits Non-Uber UsersUber riders and drivers aren’t the only people to gain from the spread of the transportation network: Users of traditional taxis have seen benefits too as cab drivers have made efforts to improve, Scott Wallsten of Georgetown University writes for The Atlantic. For example, his research shows that as Uber has grown in New York, complaints per trip to the Taxi and Limousine Commission have decreased. Uber now provides almost half of all paid rides in major U.S. markets, Wallsten reports. |
