June 5, 2015 Women’s Confidence Erodes Dramatically After a Couple of Years on the JobYoung male employees surveyed by Bain & Company showed a 10% dip in confidence after two years of work experience, but the decline for women was a far more dramatic 50%, Bain chair Orit Gadiesh and Bain partner Julie Coffman write on HBR.org. The reason may be the stereotypical corporate culture of sacrificing everything for the job. Companies should be thoughtfully discussing goals, career strategies, and job satisfaction with employees and providing encouragement to women in particular. |
