In Parts of Spain, Unemployment Is Worse than in Gaza
In Andalucia, Extremadura, and three other provinces of Spain, unemployment has risen to more than 30%, higher than the jobless rate of the Gaza Strip. Youth unemployment is even more extreme, at 52% nationwide, according to the Financial Times. The Spanish economy, already in severe recession, is expected to continue shrinking, with more job losses coming next year.
